Coming to Dime Box from Granbury ISD, are Coaches Matt and Marie Young, where Matt has coached football, basketball, and track, and Marie, has coached volleyball, basketball, cross country, and track over the years. Both have a strong background in sports and Matt has been teaching history and coaching for the last 21 years, while this will mark Marie's 15th year of teaching history and coaching. Some will remember Coach Marie Young, as she worked at DBHS for 2 years as a high school history teacher and cheer coach and is returning as an Assistant Varsity/Junior High Volleyball Coach and will also function in the same capacity during basketball season, helping Matt as he takes over as Head Girls' Varsity Basketball Coach, along with the junior high program. The Youngs will both be taking their classroom experience to the secondary history department, grades 6-12, as both are avid history buffs, loving to share their stories and passion about history with their students. The Youngs love the Dime Box community and are excited to be back closer to family and friends and to be in a small town and country living. Matt is from Whitesboro, TX, and Marie is from Lexington, but also considers Dime Box "home". They have 1 son, Cameron, and 3 grandchildren: Caden (10), Meridian (3 1/2) who lives with them, and McKenna (2). The Youngs love to travel and go to the beach in their spare time.--
